  • Led the design for the new data center layout, cabling infrastructure, router network, server network, SNA network, and floor plan. 
  • Managed the data center move which included a Wide Area Network consisting of four routers and 15 T1’s, a Local Area Network consisting of 40 Windows NT and Unix servers, two large Sun systems, and five switches, and a mission critical SNA network that supported law enforcement systems including an IBM mainframe, 70 SNA circuits, a DEC Gateway, three IBM Gateways, and a Wang system. 
  • Designed and managed the installation of communications and cabling infrastructure for several Lucent Technologies customer support labs, demonstration labs, and training labs.
  • Managed Ascend Communications’ business continuity and disaster recovery effort. 
  • Developed multiple business impact assessment reports for Ascend Communications worldwide and wrote subsequent recovery strategies.

PERSONAL

I am a cancer survivor of 17 years and am married to a cancer survivor of 20 years. I find great enjoyment in creating order out of chaos, volunteering, reading nonfiction, discussing life’s big questions, doing yoga, gardening, arranging flowers, cooking, traveling, skiing, and attempting the NYT puzzles including the Sunday Crossword, Spelling Bee, and Wordle.
